Abstract

The objective of this study was to undertake a comparative study about the legal accompaniment f companies in Israel, with a specific focus on corporate lawyers from the Arab and Jewish sectors. quantitative research was used in this study. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively to determin the main trends, correlations, and regressions emerging from the study. Results from the study revealed the there has been significant progress made in terms of the changing role of corporate lawyers in Israel. Th most notable changes include increased recognition on the importance of legal accompaniment, and mor focus on law schools to train corporate lawyers. In addition, there are notable differences in roles of the corporate lawyer in companies in the Arab sector compared to the Jewish Sector in Israel. Corporate lawyers from the Arab sector experience hurdles in accessing equal tasks, job opportunities, and participation in the workplace. These corporate lawyers also experience challenges in career and skills development possibly due to being considered outgroups and less favorable in being assigned to job roles considered of value to legal firms due to cultural, ethnic, or racial stereotypes: Despite the diverse challenges and hurdles, corporate lawyers make significant contributions to the success of companies. Part of the success includes identifying loopholes and help business owners make informed decisions. They also help facilitate business transactions based on detailed insights they give. Furthermore, the findings indicated that corporate lawyers in the Jewish sector have more authorities than lawyers in the Arab sector in Israel. Lawyers who come from the Jewish sector were noted to have more duties and responsibilities assigned to them compared to lawyers from the Arab sector. Some of the authority noted to be assigned to lawyers from the Jewish sector included being assigned to high-profile cases that lawyers from the Arab sector. Lawyers from the Arab sector are limited in their legal accompaniment or in terms of the businesses they can advise. They also have a fewer number of clients and often experience challenges in engaging with various companies. In conclusion, the role of corporate lawyers in Israel continue to play a central part in helping businesses make informed decisions and its significance will increase in future as this legal sector become more specialized and applied to the field of legal business management.
